Since the founding of the Trojan Consulting Group in 2001, we have had the opportunity to work with Los Angeles nonprofits in many different capacities. Through these partnerships, TCG has improved organizations by utilizing comprehensive research, analysis, and strategic recommendations. Below are some pictures of our project teams and a is a list of a organizations we have partnered with since our founding.
CDTech - Spring 2010
Canine Support Teams, Inc. - Fall 2009
| CDTech |
The Trojan Consulting Group developed a brochure for CDTech that encompassed all of the organization’s educational programs. In an additional marketing effort, TCG explored the costs and benefits of other marketing techniques, including yellow pages, business cards, t-shirts, etc. This cost-benefit analysis was unique to CDTech’s need to appeal to an urban demographic with limited Internet access. TCG also developed an initial business plan for CDTech’s potential computer repair social enterprise. To help CDTech learn more about the computer repair industry, the Trojan Consulting Group analyzed revenues, costs, competition, target market, marketing, and differentiating competitive factors in the computer repair industry. |
| Canine Support Teams, Inc. |
The Trojan Consulting Group delivered one of its most wide-ranging projects to Canine Support Teams, Inc. The nonprofit’s operational bottleneck was finding puppy raisers, so TCG developed programs to retain current raisers as well as to recognize potential raiser-rich cities in the CST area through various demographic factors. This geographic analysis also supplemented TCG’s second recommendation to develop a volunteer base. Lastly, the Trojan Consulting Group worked to revamp Canine Support Teams’ programming to elicit more donations. The events that were recommended all leveraged CST’s mission to eventually help disabled individuals by supplying them with a service dog. |
| Shelter Partnership, Inc. |
Shelter Partnership, Inc. is a huge hub for corporate donations, which the organization then divides and distributes to shelters in the Los Angeles area. Before becoming a Trojan Consulting Group client, the organization did not have a formalized system for sorting, storing, and then dispersing the donated goods. TCG identified criteria that Shelter Partnership would need in a warehouse management system (WMS), researched the many available product options, chose the most viable 4 options, and ultimately made a final recommendation as to which WMS was most fitting for the nonprofit. |
| Goodwill SOLAC |
Developed a three-year expansion strategy for the client’s new paper shredding business. Final project included examining the competitive landscape, a pricing sensitivity analysis, and extensive financial modeling. |
| United Way of Greater Los Angeles |
TCG developed a competitive response to third-party donation processors through internal process and marketing improvements as well as a recommended partnership with a for-profit company. |
| California Community Foundation |
Evaluated and recommended improvements to the Endowment Partners Program by completing a client survey, reviewing comparables, and standardizing the application process. |
| Linc Housing |
TCG provided an in-depth analysis of the current and future downtown Los Angeles market to LINC housing, creating a business strategy for developing low income mixed use housing in the area. |
| Center for Nonprofit Management |
Created a three-part deliverable addressing client satisfaction, distance learning programs, and future product opportunities. |
